有稍微提到的Electronic Document Management，也就是电子文件管理，是非常重要的。

• Electronic Document Management is also mentioned and it is very important.

今天我要与大家讨论的就是电子文件管理。

• Today, I would like to talk about Electronic Document Management.

关于电子文件管理的重要性，

• About the importance of Electronic document management,

就先举个例子，

• Quote example to show it out,

Andrew是一位律师，

• For example, Andrew is a lawyer,

他正寻找关于政府工作人员的合约已作为参考或对照，

• He is finding some contracts of the government worker as a reference,

在电子政府还没电子文件管理的科技前，

• When there does not have the electronic document management technologies,

Andrew先生必须在办公室内呆上好几个小时来寻找他所要的文件，

• Mr. Andrew need to spend couple of hours to finding for the contracts.

有时候找了一叠有一叠的文件，才能找得到。

• He need to find out the contracts among the countless paper.

但，在电子政府有了电子文件管理的科技后，

• But, after the exist of electronic documents management technology,

Andrew先生就再也不需要那么费神，

• Mr. Andrew no longer need to get in trouble,

他只须开开电脑，

上网搜寻，

• Search for the contract online,

在很短的时间内，

他就能找到他想要的文件。

• He will found the contracts or documents.

不只那样，

虽然只是寻找文件，

• Although searching documents is just the action we done everyday,

但，有了这项科技，人民就可以省下许多时间，甚至是金钱。

• However, after the exist of this technology, citizen can save a lot of time, and even money.

当然，政府机构在管理文件时，

• Without a doubt, when the government agency manage the document,

也变得轻而易举，

• it become much more easy,

在管理任何事情时，都会变得更有效率。

• Government agency can also done their task efficiently.

由于政府是一个很大的资料库，

• Since government is a large "database"

所以，这项科技对电子政府来说是极为重要的。

• So that, Electronic Documents Management Technology is very important for electronic government.
